A busy meeting Monday night for the Marshalltown School Board. Among the highlights the board gave its approval to a proposal to purchase 18 hundred and five Chromebooks for student use at a price tag of nearly 571-thousand dollars. The School Board heard three different presentations including one by instructor Mike Lazere of Project Lead The Way who said students are proposing to design and build a shelter at the cross country course on the campus of Marshalltown Community College. Funds for the project are nearly raised and the proposal will now be taken to the college for approval. School Board approved a preliminary list of graduating seniors for commencement ceremonies set for Sunday May 28th at 2:30 p-m at the Roundhouse.
