Wet conditions across Ohio have stalled many plans for early planting.
Ohio State University Soybean Agronomist Laura Lindsey tells Brownfield, “We are too wet to plant this week.”
“I’m cautiously optimistic maybe we can plant next week, but the weather so far in Ohio has been extremely wet,” she says.
She says fields with cover crops can take longer to dry out ahead of planting and termination effectiveness can impact timing.
