The City of Laurel announced late yesterday afternoon, an Emergency Water Main Repair happening. An Alliant Contractor hit a water main between the Pitchfork and Storage Units on S Main Street. The extent that the water service may be interrupted is unknown at this time and residents are asked to avoid this area during repairs.

Residents WEST of Main Street, in Laurel are now under a boil advisory once service is restored. The boil advisory is in place for 48 hours or once water testing results are back to normal levels. It is advised to bring your water to a full boil for at least 1 minute before use in cooking or drinking.
