Today continues the first round of Healthy Kids Iowa, which is the program Gov. Reynolds got a waiver to run this summer.  This program is replacing the Summer EBT program where families with school aged youth would get an extra $40/per kid on their SNAP benefits card.  Now, families will need to pick up $40 worth of food at a local food bank.

The Marshalltown Emergency Food Box is that location in Marshall County.  Food can be picked up the Wednesday and Thursday after the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 10am – 6pm.  Each youth in the household will get $40 worth of food which includes, eggs, beef, fruit cups, and more.  Anyone who is picking up food for this program will need to go to the back door at the Emergency Food Box which is located at 107 N 1st Ave.
