The city ordinance has been adjusted to reflect the new state law and fireworks are allowed from 9am – 10pm on July 3rd and 9am – 11pm on July 4th.  Using fireworks is strictly prohibited on city streets, public sidewalks, and public parks.

During the 2023 calendar year, across the nation, 9,700 injuries treated at US hospitals were firework related and about 3,000 of those injuries occurred to youth 15 and younger.  Fireworks started an estimated 19,500 fires every year.
