Marshalltown Street Superintendent, Rick Legg, relies on the public to help spot potholes around town. His small team cannot constantly canvass the roads so they have a number to call and let them know where a pothole is.
Legg says his team will need a week or two to get to the pothole that was reported. He says to not assume someone else has called it in.
He says they prioritize this list and the more people call in about a specific issue, the higher on the list that pothole goes.
Beyond potholes, the street department also fixes the alleyways. If your alley has washed out due to the rains this summer, you can call (641) 754-5746.
