Discussed Monday night at the Marshalltown City Council meeting, a connectivity project between Franklin Field and West End Park.  While the School District is doing work to Franklin Field and replacing sidewalks, the city suggested to make those sidewalks trail width.

That is Marshalltown Park and Recreation Director, Kelsie Stafford, who has hit the ground running.  With this project, Stafford says they are looking at a path that will glow at night.

Stafford says the stones will collect the energy they need throughout the day and then glow at night, lighting up the path.  The city approved this idea, the next step is getting the School Districts approval.
