Last week on Tuesday, the Marshalltown Area United Way officially kicked off their campaign to raise $900,000 this year. Last week the United Way was at just over 20%, Executive Director Kendra Sorenson gives an update for this week.
Sorenson says the money raised will support their 25 partner agencies and 30 programs in Marshall County. Sorenson also reminds listeners of their big event, The Power of the Purse coming up on October 16th. She says tickets are still available.
She says this year there are more auction items beyond purses there are a few experiences they are auctioning off this year. The event will be at Midnight Garden and to get registered you can stop by the United Way Office in the MACC or head to unitedwaymarshalltown.org
