The Marshalltown Bobcat football team headed to the Des Moines Metro to take on the East Scarlets in the first meeting between the teams in 13 years looking to bounce back from a blowout loss on homecoming. After a back and forth first half, the Bobcats got a massive takeaway deep in their own territory, and Tyler Englund broke one on the very next play
Voice of the Bobcats, Brandon Lewis, on the call.
The Scarlets would hang in there, including scoring a late defensive touchdown, but the Bobcats would survive and get a game-sealing sack from Zak Wilder to take the win, 29-27. Marshalltown returns home next week to take on Cedar Rapids Kennedy.
