The Marshalltown Bobcat football team has entered the meat of their schedule and they were met by a vaunted foe Friday night as they headed to Waukee to take on the Warriors. In a series that saw the Bobcats go 2-7 from 2008 to 2015 and 0-7 outside of 2009, they’d have their hands full as the Warriors had won each of the last three matchups by 27 or more. Unfortunately for the Cats, an Aiden Smitherman kick return touchdown to tie the game at 7 was as good as it would get. Some inopportune turnovers threw the Cats behind the 8 ball and they just couldn’t recover. The Cats dropped their second-straight game in blowout fashion as they were beaten 55-13. Marshalltown returns home next Friday where they’ll meet a Dallas Center-Grimes team took down Waukee just recently, 29-28.
