Preston Johnson, Bobcat Cross Country Runner, was able to finish his junior season with a 2nd place finish at state. His focus started before school let out back in June.
That is head coach Chad Pietig, who praised Johnson for setting the tone for the team. Johnson was able to set the school record this past season.
Johnson enters the season in 2026 with a target on his back as he could be considered the favorite in the state. Jaden Merrick was the only runner to beat him at state and he is going to Iowa State next year.
