Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures and precipitation nearly nationwide.  Colder-than-normal conditions will be confined to the Northeast. Meanwhile, drier-than-normal weather should be limited to an area stretching from the central and southern Plains into the middle and lower Mississippi Valley.
