According to a release yesterday, another suspect has been arrested following the report of shots fired at the Marshalltown High School. 18-year-old Jace Antonio Vargas of Marshalltown has been arrested for Attempt to Commit Murder, Robbery in the 1st Degree, Carrying a Weapon on School Grounds and other charges.
Around 4:45 in the afternoon on December 18th, the Marshalltown Police were called to the High School for reports of shots fired. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the victims who were able to provide them with vehicle and suspect descriptions. Officers were also able to gather evidence and obtain video of the incident from the scene. The video evidence corroborated the victims’ account of the incident.
This investigation is on going and anyone with information is asked to contact the Marshalltown Police Department.
