Cash dairy prices were lower on Thursday except for dry whey at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Dry whey was up $0.0050 at $0.6875. No sales were recorded. Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.03 at $1.54 nearly wiping out Wednesday’s gains. Ten sales were recorded, ranging from $1.54 to $1.5575. Cheese barrels were down $0.0350 at $1.48. Two sales were recorded at $1.48 and $1.49. Butter was down $0.0250 at $1.5250, falling eleven-and-a-half cents in three days. Thirty-one sales were recorded, ranging from $1.5225 to $1.5550.
