The Snow Ordinance in Marshalltown is no longer in effect, but City plows were out early this morning to do some additional clean up, especially in the downtown area.
Now we await some of the coldest temperatures and wind chills in recent years.
A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect until 6: a.m. Sunday morning, as wind chills may approach the 30-below-zero mark.
A Wind Chill Warning will then take effect from 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning trough Noon on Tuesday, with wind chills plunging towards the 35-below zero vicinity. The forecasts continues to call for a low Sunday night of 20-below. Looks like we won’t get above the zero mark for an actual temperature until Tuesday.
