The shaky financial status of one of your favorite department stores is a little more shaky this morning.

A bankruptcy judge’s ruling my lead the liquidation of Younkers and its parent company Bon-Ton. The judge denied Bon-Ton’s request to pay some of the fees for the one bidder interested in buying the chain and keeping it open. All other bidders for Bon-Ton are leaning towards liquidating the company. There are, of course, multiple Younkers locations in the state, including Ames, Cedar Falls Des Moines and Marshalltown.
