The fate of Madrid Police Chief Rick Tasler may come down to a special election on Tuesday.  Amid several lawsuits involving excessive force by the chief and his officers, interim Mayor Kurt Kruse has said he is in favor of not keeping Tasler in his position.  The city council tabled the motion unanimously last week and a special election on the matter will be held Tuesday.  Many in the town support Chief Tasler.
