It’s a Marshalltown staple and it’s been just “rite” for 90 years. Taylor’s Maid Rite is celebrating 90 years of sandwiches this Saturday with a special price on your first Maid Rite.

That’s Sandy Taylor Short, who’s grandparents opened the restaurant after eating at the state’s second Maid Rite in Newton. The first was in Muscatine. Saturday’s special will run from 8 am to 9pm.
