The game included a first half scuffle that resulted in three technical fouls and another scuffle at the end of the game as the Hawkeyes were running out the clock. Iowa coach Fran McCaffery pulled his team off the court and their was no hand shake.
Freshman Talen Horton-Tucker led the Cyclones with 21 points.
