Cyclone basketball standout Bridget Carleton has been tabbed as the Celia Barquin Arozamena Iowa State Female Athlete of the Year.
During a decorated career, Carleton scored 2,142 points (second in ISU history) and also ranked top-five in field goals, steals, blocks and 3-pointers.
Carleton was selected in the second round of the WNBA Draft in April and is now a member of the Connecticut Sun, which boasts the best record in the WNBA (6-1).
The award was renamed in honor of last year’s winner after Arozamena was killed last September.
