Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange closed higher Friday following a supportive supply and demand report and as the block and barrel cheddar spread widens to a new record.
July Class III milk three cents
higher at $24.20.  August up 76 cents at $23.04.  September 46 cents higher at $20.28.  October 14 cents higher at $18.51.  November through January contracts 14 to 17
cents higher.
Dry whey unchanged at $0.2875.
Blocks up $0.0850 at $2.9150, a new
record.  Six trades were made at $2.85
and $2.9150.  
Barrels down $0.06 at $2.34.
Butter up $0.0025 at $1.69.  Five trades were made ranging from $1.6650 to
$1.69.
