The top condition ratings for Iowa’s corn and soybean crops slipped again last week as drought conditions in central and west-central Iowa continue to take a toll.
Corn fell four points to 73 percent good to excellent while soybeans dropped three points to 73 percent.
Corn in the dough stage or beyond reached 44 percent, four days ahead of average. Soybeans setting pods was at 70 percent, six days ahead of average.
