A sluggish start for direct cash cattle trade.  Packer inquiry is limited.  There are reports that bids have surfaced in Kansas at $104, that’s $2 lower than last week and $1 lower than this week’s business.  There was a light to moderate trade that took place on Wednesday with deals in the South ranging from $103 to $105 live, mostly at $105.  That’s $1 lower than last week’s weighted averages.  Northern dressed deals ranged from $166 to $167.
