Bayer is appealing the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals’ ruling that awarded more than 20 million dollars to a groundskeeper who claimed Roundup caused his cancer.
The ruling is being appealed to the California Supreme Court after a San Francisco jury awarded Dewayne Johnson nearly 290 million dollars which was later reduced by the trial judge and again by the court of appeals.
A petition by Bayer said the court of appeals affirmed a verdict that punishes them for complying with federal law.
