An alternative to the National Western Stock Show will take place in Grand Island, Nebraska in January.
An organization called the Grand Island Livestock Complex Authority, which includes the Nebraska State Fair and Fonner Park, is putting the show together. They say the show, which has the blessing of the National Western, will be one-year-only event.
The National Western announced in September that it was cancelling its 2021 show because of rules relating to the COVID-19 pandemic in Colorado.
