More than three quarters of Minnesota’s corn crop has been harvested.
In fact, the USDA’s latest weekly report says as of Sunday, 83% is out. That’s three weeks ahead of last year and 10 days faster than the five-year average.
Corn moisture content is averaging 17 percent.
The sunflower harvest advanced to 97 percent complete, over a month ahead of 2019.
Other field activities at the end of October included fall tillage and manure application.
