Milk futures and cash dairy markets were mixed at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Friday, January 8th.

January Class III milk was down $.15 at $16.70.  February was up $.24 closing at $19.70.  March was down $.06 at $19.07.  April was down $.07 at $18.34.  May through December contracts ranged from seven cents lower to six cents higher. 

Dry whey was unchanged at $.50. No sales were recorded. 

Blocks were up $.02 closing at $1.9175.  Three sales were recorded from $1.9075 to $1.9150. 

Barrels were unchanged at $1.6525. Six sales were made at that price. 

Butter closed down $.01 at $1.38.  One sale was made at that price.  

Nonfat dry milk was down $.0050 at $1.19.  Two  sales were recorded at $1.19 and $1.1950.
