From the Salvation Army:
THE SALVATION ARMY TO OPERATE WARMING CENTER
In response to the recent bitter cold The Salvation Army will begin operating a warming center on Monday, February 8, 2021. The hours of operation for the warming center will be Monday-Friday 9am-4pm during the extreme cold. Individuals in need of getting warm may inform the team at the front doors of The Salvation Army located at 107 West State Street of their need to get warm. Visitors will be escorted to the fellowship hall where social distancing and mask wearing will be practiced in an effort to keep team members and other visitors safe due to COVID-19.
The Salvation Army will also provide power strips to charge electronics if that is a need.
Programs such as the warming center are made possible through the generous support of donors throughout Marshall County.
