The Marshalltown Boys Basketball program has a new name at the top of its all-time individual scorers, Armonniey Thomas.
The 6-foot Senior poured in 17 points at Des Moines North on Tuesday night, to move into 1st place on the all-time scorers list with 1,266 points. With the effort, he passed Chance Creekmur who previously held the record at 1,264 points during his career from 2007 to 2010.
This season, Thomas has scored 302 points to break the record. He's averaging over 20 points per game along with five rebounds and just over two steals per game.
With Creekmur at now 2nd in all-time scorers, Don Nelson is now 3rd on the list with 1,039 points. He's followed by Luke Apple at 1,038, who is currently playing at South Dakota State University. He's averaging 8.5 points per game for the Jackrabbits.
