(Waterloo, IA) – A Black Hawk County Jury has come back with a Not Guilty verdict in the case against a Waterloo man accused of First Degree Murder. 25-year-old Perquondis Holmes was previously convicted of fatally shooting 18-year-old Dae’ Wan Campbell back in November 2013. Holmes was granted a second trial after jurors saw photos of Holmes that included gang affiliation, violating an earlier ruling by a judge.
