We hear about blood drives all the time; there is always a need for blood to be available for folks who need it. But what if I told you that one of the biggest blood drives in the state takes place every year in Garwin?
For the 20th year, the Advanced Biology Class at GMG High School is holding a blood drive this Friday. And it is up to the 9 students in the class to get as many donors as possible. Right now, the number of donor appointments stands at 208!
Instructor Mark Samek, who adds the goal every year is to at least equal the number of donors from the previous year. The GMG Blood drive will happen Friday from 12:30 to 6:30 at the High School Gym in Garwin.
