An Iowa City family based McDonald’s franchisee is on a bit of a buying spree and now owns the location Marshalltown.

The O’Brien family has been involved with the fast food chain since 1958 and the son, Kevin O’Brien is expanding. Marketing Manager Michelle Shalla says the new owners will be involved in the community.

Shalla says the Marshalltown location will be renovated and expanded in 2019.
