A building owned by Youth and Shelter Services in Ames was evacuated after firefighters responded to an automatic alarm at the house. The building at 712 Burnett was full of smoke and fire crews knocked down the fire. No one was injured in the fire. Officials were working with YSS staff to assist with the residents of the building.
