The listening area received a shot of winter weather overnight. .07 worth of rain was received followed by a half inch of snow. The rain froze to surfaces especially outside decks and stairs and sidewalks and also to windshields. Roads in the area became partially to mostly covered with ice and snow. Blustery winds dropped with wind chill factor down to as low as four degrees above. Numerous schools opted to delay the start of classes by two hours. Weather forecasters say more winter like weather could be on the way Wednesday night into Thursday.
