The Marshalltown Public Library and other libraries in the area, the state and the nation are observing National Library Week this week. Director Sarah Rosenblum says the library is celebrating the 100th birthday of children’s author Beverly Cleary today. There will also be a free concert in tribute to folk singer Woody Guthrie tomorrow night. She also says plans are in the works to begin Sunday hours at the Marshalltown Public Library starting September 11th.
