(Marshalltown Public Library website) The Marshalltown Public Library is a partner with the ISU Extension/Emerson Innovation Center STEM Festival for youth to explore all kinds of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.) Activities in a “come and go” fair style” will be offered in the large meeting room at the library, including stations with Lego Simple Machines, magnets, microscopes, gears, and taking turns with our science “toys” like a static electricity wand, pinball creation station, and more. Most activities are geared toward school-aged, although families are welcome.
Activities at the Emerson Innovation Center (near the library on Center) will include exhibits by Alliant Energy, Fisher Emerson, Marshalltown Medical Center, Marshalltown Police Department, Iowa Valley, ISU, MechDyne, Marshall County Recycling and Solid Waste and more. This is also open house style “come and go” between 1-3 p.m.
