Now that the vote on the public safety building in Marshalltown has passed, city officials say follow up work will begin. City Administrator Randy Wetmore says a contract will be drawn up with the architect Prochaska and Associates for the design of the building to jointly house the police and fire department, and then the Citizens Commitee chaired by local attorney Paul Peglow will be put back in action to facilitate the process and keep things transparent. Public meetings seeking input will also be held. No firm time tables yet.
