The Marshalltown City Council in meeting Monday, is expected to accept a proposal to name Jessica Kinser, presently City Manager of Clinton, as the new City Administrator for Marshalltown. She has family ties to State Center according to her biography with the city of Clinton. Kinser was named 2015 Iowa City Manager of the Year. Today`s meeting will be held at City Hall in Marshalltown at 5:30 p-m. There will be some years of service awards given out to three city employees. There will also be the anticipated acceptance of 25-thousand dollars in grant money from the Martha Ellen Tye Foundation in support of the completion of a feasibility plan for the Veterans Coliseum here in Marshalltown. There will also be a closed session in regard to union negotiation.
