U-S Senator Joanie Ernst appeared at the Veterans Home in Marshalltown Friday and presented medals to two soldiers who reside there. Ronald Young is a Vietnam Veteran who received several medals, and Bill Baltisberger is a World War Two veteran who received a medal from France and the government there who sent the highest honoring medal that country can give. Both recipients were joined by friends and family for the presentations. Also present were Veterans Day Commandant Jodi Tymmeson, a news reporter from Channel 5 in Ames/Des Moines, and Adam Sodders of the Times Republican Newspaper.
