Officials of the Marshalltown Fire Department say the cause of the fire at the Villager Apartments will remain unknown. They put out a press release to that extent on Friday. The fire took place on May 5th and 6th in the late night and overnight time frames. The cause of the fire is being listed as undetermined. The building was knocked to the ground the following Thursday. No one was hurt. The age of the building and the location go way back in Marshalltown`s history.
