Des Moines, IA – The Iowa Barnstormers (11-2) extended its winning streak to nine games with a 64-12 win over the Green Bay Blizzard (2-12) Friday night at the Wells Fargo Arena.

Iowa started the game scoring on its first play when quarterback Travis Partridge found receiver Lucas Hefty for a 34 yard strike.  Iowa used the same combo of Partridge and Hefty on its next possession, this time a six yard touchdown, 13-0.  Green Bay cut the Iowa lead when running back Jasen Oden Jr. ran in an 11 yard touchdown, 13-6. Partridge threw his third touchdown of the quarter finding receiver Brady Roland for a 29 yard score, 20-7.

Entering the second quarter, the Blizzard would pick up a field goal from kicker Jared Fohrman, 20-10. Partridge connected with Roland for the second time for a 35 yard score, 27-10. The Barnstormers defense got into the scoring frenzy when defensive end BJ Butler sacked Blizzard quarterback Greg McGhee in the end zone, 29-10. Iowa continued to score with receiver Ryan Balentine extending the lead running in a one yard touchdown, 36-10. Iowa stuck to the ground game when running back Keshaudas Spence scored a three yard touchdown after breaking off a 35 yard gain the previous play, 43-10.

The Barnstormers would start the second half firing on all cylinders when Partridge connected Roland for his third receiving score, 50-10. Partridge called his own number on the next series, running in a seven yard touchdown, 57-10. Green Bay would sack Iowa in the end zone for a safety, 57-12. The Barnstormers called Spence’s number as he scored his second rushing score of the night, 64-12, which would be the final score of the evening.
