I’m sure most of us realize that Veteran’s Day is Sunday. But did you also know that November is National Veterans and Military Families Month?

One of the monthly celebrations will take place Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. at the Iowa Veterans Home, honoring Vietnam Vets. Vietnam Vet and chair of the Iowa Commission of Veteran Affairs Dan Gannon will be the guest speaker. Official Vietnam Veterans commemorative pins will be presented and the book “Vietnam War 50^th Commemoration, A time To Honor Iowa Edition” will be available.

Counselors  will be on hand through 11:00 a.m. to assist Vets with any claims related issues.
