Marial Shayok and Talen Horton-Tucker both scored 26 points as Iowa State beat Texas Southern 85-73 to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Iowa State coach Steve Prohm says it was a good win but there are still plenty of areas to work on.

The Cyclones are off until a date with Arizona next Monday night.
