...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON
THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Iowa, south central
  Iowa, southwest Iowa, and west central Iowa, including the
  following areas, in central Iowa, Boone, Dallas, Jasper,
  Marshall, Polk, Poweshiek, Story, and Tama. In south central
  Iowa, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, and Warren. In southwest Iowa,
  Adair and Cass. In west central Iowa, Audubon and Guthrie.

* From 1 PM CDT this afternoon through Wednesday morning

* Multiple rounds of thunderstorms and locally heavy rain could
  produce potentially significant flash flooding later today
  through tonight.

* Rapid rises on streams, inundation of low lying areas and
  roads, and dangerous impacts to travel are all possible from
  later today through tonight.
