Iowa State sophomore guard Lindell Wigginton will stay in the NBA draft and forego his remaining college eligibility. “With the grace of God ordering my steps, I am ready to take the next step in my journey,” he said in a statement released on social media.
“With that being said I will remain in the 2019 NBA draft. Cyclone Nation, you will forever be a part of me. Go Cyclones!”
Wigginton had flirted with going pro after his freshman season a year ago before ultimately deciding to return for a second season in Ames.
It was a bumpy season after a foot injury sidelined him after the season’s first game until the end of December.
Wigginton spent the rest of the season coming off the bench, averaging 13.5 points, 4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
