Iowa’s depth at guard has received a much needed boost. Bakari Evelyn has signed with the Hawkeyes. The native of Detroit played the last two years at Valparaiso after starting his career at Nebraska. He becomes the first grad transfer for Iowa coach Fran McCaffery.
Evelyn provides needed depth for a backcourt that has seen senior Isaiah Moss transfer to Kansas and senior point guard Jordan Bohannon consider a redshirt year following offseason hip surgery.
