It’s that time of the year…time to think about that flu shot.

Flu vaccinations are now available at Hansen Family Hospital clinics: Ackley Medical Center, Ellsworth Family Medicine, Iowa Falls Clinic, and NESCO Family Medical Clinic. The single-dose quadrivalent vaccine protects against the four most highly anticipated strains of the influenza virus for the upcoming flu season. Children 6 months through 8 years of age not previously vaccinated should be vaccinated with two doses at least four weeks apart.

Community flu shot clinics will be available at The Coffee Attic Book Cellar on Friday, September 20th from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and at the Elks Club on Tuesday, September 24, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for adults 18 and older ($35 cash, check, or Medicare Part B only, private insurance will be filed with a copy of your insurance card).
