The change in the White House will have a bearing on major farm legislation on the horizon, according to the president of the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF). Zippy Duvall tells Brownfield Farm Bureau members are interested in how climate change is addressed and how a so-called carbon bank will be run.
“One of the main ingredients in all that discussion is to make sure that those new practices are voluntary and market based just like the conservation programs are in USDA now,” Duvall told Brownfield Ag News Wednesday.
