In concert with the reading of the guilty verdict brought down on Cristhian Bahena Rivera for first-degree murder in the death of 20-year-old college student Mollie Tibbetts in her hometown of Brooklyn, the courts scheduled sentencing for July 15th.

Bahena’s counsel, Marshalltown-based defense attorneys Chad and Jennifer Frese, said they would explore all opportunities for appeal.
