Direct cash cattle trade is typically quiet with buyers and sellers busy taking inventory. Bids and asking prices have yet to surface and it’s likely significant trade volume will be delayed until midweek or later. Last week’s trade started on Tuesday with the bulk of business on Wednesday and some scattered cleanup trade on Thursday and Friday. Northern dressed heads were at mostly $198, fully steady with the prior week’s business. Southern live deals were at mostly $121, also steady with the prior week’s weighted averages.
